BACKGROUND
Tide is an all-in-one cryptocurrency companion for Android. Users browse ranked markets, build a watchlist, open token charts, and manage a simulated portfolio in one Material Design app—with light, dark, and system themes and sign-in via email, Google, or Apple.

TASKS AND CHALLENGES
Objective
Pack market data, personal tracking, and a learning-friendly paper portfolio into a single mobile app.
- Live ranked markets with search, 24h change, and token detail
- Watchlist that persists across sessions
- Line and candlestick charts across multiple timeframes
- Paper portfolio with virtual cash, P/L, and transaction history

SOLUTION
The app is organized around four tabs: Market, Watchlist, Portfolio, and Settings. Token detail adds timeframes from 1H to 1Y and a historical trend hint from past prices, as extra context for the paper portfolio. Paper trading starts from virtual cash so people can learn flow without funding a real wallet.
- Market list with live prices and 24h change
- Watchlist for tokens the user actually cares about
- Charts and a historical trend hint on token detail
- Simulated portfolio, holdings, and transaction history
Our Point of View
Market apps should be readable first. Tide keeps live data, personal lists, and a sandbox portfolio in one dark-mode-native Android experience.
TAKE A CLOSER LOOK
Markets at a glance
Ranked tokens with price and 24h change, instant search, and one-tap favorites. Open any coin for a deeper chart.

Charts and trend hint
Line and candlestick views across 1H–1Y. Token detail also shows a historical trend hint from past prices—context for the paper portfolio, not a market forecast.
